Map Supplier SKUs to Shopify Variants

Supplier mappings connect a supplier's SKU, cost, pack size, and ordering rules to a Shopify variant.

Use mappings when the supplier's item number differs from the Shopify SKU or when you need supplier-specific purchasing context.

Steps To Add A Mapping Manually

1. Open BackstockOps from Shopify Admin.
2. Go to Suppliers.
3. Open the supplier that provides the item.
4. Find the supplier mapping area.
5. Search for the Shopify product or variant.
6. Select the correct Shopify variant.
7. Enter the supplier SKU.
8. Add supplier cost, currency, pack size, minimum order quantity, case quantity, and lead time when available.
9. Mark the supplier as preferred if this is the main supplier for that variant.
10. Save the mapping.

Preferred Suppliers

If more than one supplier can provide the same variant, mark the supplier you usually buy from as the preferred supplier.

The preferred supplier helps guide replenishment and purchase order workflows.

Importing Mappings

Use CSV import when you need to add or update many supplier mappings at once.

BackstockOps checks for duplicate or conflicting rows during import. Resolve any reported row errors before relying on the imported mappings.
