Run a Replenishment Review

Run a replenishment review to decide what to reorder, which suppliers are involved, and whether selected recommendations should become draft purchase orders.

Plan Requirement

Ops plan or higher for the full replenishment and PO workflow. Growth or higher for forecast profiles and sales-history powered reports.

Role Or Permission Requirement

view_reports is required to review replenishment when workflow roles are enforced. create_edit_purchase_orders is required to create draft POs from recommendations.

App Path

Shopify Admin > Apps > BackstockOps > Replenishment.

Direct app path: /app/replenishment.

Steps

  1. Open Replenishment.
  2. Review the top metrics, including recommendations, urgent SKUs, suggested units, supplier mapped, sales rows, and last run.
  3. Recalculate recommendations after imports, syncs, or settings changes.
  4. Review supplier planning for supplier demand, coverage, need, reasons, ABC grade, velocity, dependable quantity, available quantity, on-order quantity, and order value.
  5. Open the Buying Table.
  6. Filter by supplier, location, and recommendation status.
  7. Review urgency score, suggested quantity, supplier context, supplier SKU, and reason.
  8. Use pagination to move through long result sets.
  9. Export the replenishment CSV if a spreadsheet review is needed.
  10. Select recommendations and create draft POs when the purchase quantities look right.
  11. Open the created draft PO and review quantities, costs, notes, and supplier output.

Shopify Read And Write Behavior

Replenishment reads synced Shopify catalog and inventory data. It does not write to Shopify. Creating draft POs writes BackstockOps purchase order records only.

Expected Success State

The review identifies actionable items, supplier-mapped rows are ready for purchasing, unmapped rows are clearly visible, and draft POs are created only for reviewed recommendations.

Common Troubleshooting

  • Empty Buying Table: confirm data is synced and filters are not too narrow.
  • Unmapped supplier rows: map supplier SKUs and mark preferred suppliers.
  • Unexpected urgency: review settings, lead times, current stock, on-order quantities, and forecast profiles.
  • Export unavailable: check plan and export permission.
  • Draft PO missing lines: confirm selected recommendations have supplier mappings.
