Review What Needs Attention
Use Replenishment to review supplier-aware buying recommendations, understand why variants need attention, export recommendations, and create draft purchase orders.
Plan Requirement
Core replenishment and purchasing workflows require Ops or higher for full workflow access. Starter can use basic supplier and mapping context. Forecast profiles and sales-history powered analytics require Growth or higher.
Role Or Permission Requirement
When workflow roles are enforced, users need view_reports to review replenishment data and create_edit_purchase_orders to create draft purchase orders from recommendations. Settings changes for replenishment controls require settings access.
App Path

What BackstockOps Reads From Shopify
BackstockOps reads Shopify products, variants, locations, inventory quantities, SKUs, barcodes, vendor, product type, tags, and sales-history inputs when available. It combines that data with BackstockOps supplier mappings, supplier costs, lead times, pack sizes, order controls, and settings.
What BackstockOps Writes To Shopify
Replenishment review does not write to Shopify. Creating a draft purchase order writes BackstockOps purchase order records only. Shopify inventory changes later through purchase order receiving or approved stock count adjustments.
Main Areas
The page can show:
- Recommendations
- Urgent SKUs
- Suggested units
- Supplier mapped
- Sales rows
- Last run
- Supplier planning
- Forecast profiles
- Replenishment controls
- Buying Table
- Saved views
- Alert rules
Buying Table Concepts
Use the Buying Table to scan rows by supplier, location, and recommendation status. Rows can include product, variant, SKU, location, suggested quantity, urgency score, days until stockout, supplier context, supplier SKU, cost, reason, and mapped or unmapped supplier state.
Pagination keeps long buying tables usable. Export CSV when you need the recommendations in a spreadsheet.
When To Recalculate
Run recalculation after:
- Importing supplier mappings
- Changing replenishment settings
- Changing forecast profiles
- Syncing Shopify inventory
- Receiving purchase orders
- Applying stock count adjustments
Expected Success State
Recommendations show variants that need attention, supplier context is present for mapped variants, urgent items are easy to identify, and draft POs can be created from the selected recommendation set.
Common Troubleshooting
- No recommendations: confirm Shopify inventory is synced, supplier mappings exist, and product filters are not excluding the variants.
- Suggested quantity seems wrong: review lead time, pack size, MOQ, case quantity, default lead time, keep-in-stock, include-current-stock, and forecast profile settings.
- Supplier is missing: map the supplier SKU and mark the preferred supplier where needed.
- Forecast reports need data: import sales history before relying on Growth analytics.
- Export is unavailable: check plan and
export_datapermission.
