Set Up BackstockOps for the First Time
Use this workflow after installing BackstockOps in your Shopify store.
Before You Start
- Make sure you can sign in to Shopify Admin.
- Make sure BackstockOps is installed on the correct store.
- Have at least one supplier in mind for your first setup pass.
Steps
- Open BackstockOps from Shopify Admin.
- Review the store readiness area.
- Confirm that products, variants, locations, and inventory data are available.
- Resolve any setup warnings before continuing.
- Go to Suppliers.
- Create your first supplier.
- Open the supplier record.
- Add supplier SKU mappings manually or import them from CSV.
- Add supplier cost, pack size, minimum order quantity, case quantity, and lead time when available.
- Mark preferred suppliers where a variant has more than one supplier.
- Go to Replenishment.
- Review whether supplier context appears for the products or variants you expect.
- Create a draft purchase order when you are ready to test purchasing.
What Success Looks Like
Your store is ready, at least one supplier is configured, supplier mappings are connected to Shopify variants, and replenishment can use supplier context.
