Use BackstockOps reports
Use Reports to review operational inventory, purchasing, supplier, stock count, transfer, and sales-history views that are specific to BackstockOps workflows.
Plan Requirement
Ops unlocks operational reports. Growth unlocks sales-history reports such as ABC analysis and best sellers when the needed sales history exists. Scale includes the same report access plus advanced governance and API features.
Role Or Permission Requirement
When workflow roles are enforced, users need view_reports to view reports and export_data to export report CSVs. Cost visibility also depends on Settings and role access.

Apply filtersExport CSV
If filters have changed, the export button can show Apply filters to export. Apply filters first so the preview and CSV use the same criteria.
Shopify Read And Write Behavior
Reports read synced Shopify catalog, variant, inventory, location, and sales-history data where available. Reports also read BackstockOps supplier, mapping, purchase order, stock count, adjustment, and transfer records. Reports do not write to Shopify.
CSV And XLSX Expectations
BackstockOps report exports are CSV files. Open them in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, or another spreadsheet tool when an XLSX-style workbook view is needed.
Expected Success State
The selected report shows a preview that matches the applied filters, and Export CSV downloads all matching rows for that report.
Common Troubleshooting
- A report is locked: check the current plan and billing status.
- A report says data is required: import or sync the data source named by the report, such as sales history.
- Export is disabled: apply filters first or check
export_datapermission. - Costs are hidden: check Settings > Reports & costs and role access.
- Rows look stale: refresh Shopify data, rerun replenishment, or reopen the report after the relevant workflow updates.
